celestine

No-BS astrological calculations validated against NASA, JPL Horizons & Swiss Ephemeris. Birth charts, transits, progressions that actually work.

Finally, astrology math that isn't vibes-based.

Problem Hypothesis

Every astrology library out there is either a black box that "just works" (until it doesn't), a half-finished hobby project abandoned in 2019, or something that gives you "close enough" numbers that slowly drive you insane when you try to match them against Swiss Ephemeris. You paste planetary positions into Astro.com to verify your code, and nothing lines up. You dig into the source, find magic numbers with no comments, and realize the author eyeballed the obliquity of the ecliptic from a 1980s textbook. Great.

Solution Attempt

Celestine doesn't guess. Every formula comes from Meeus' "Astronomical Algorithms" (the actual book, not a blog post about it). Every planetary position is validated against NASA JPL Horizons data. The Moon's longitude at any given moment matches Swiss Ephemeris to the arcsecond. 2400+ unit tests don't lie — if the math drifts by 0.0001°, CI fails. You get the real numbers, documented sources, and code that reads like it was written by someone who actually cares whether your client's Saturn return is accurate.
